Halloween 2008

Our first Halloween in California. The day started out iffy - wet and rainy in the morning - but the storm cleared and it was great in the afternoon. We travelled out to my brother's area in Rancho Murietta (about 45 minutes from our house) - to trick-or-treat with cousins. The weather was gorgeous - no wind - pretty warm - not chilly at all. Here is our lil Spiderman himself!

Levi dressed as Spiderman too. He was going to be a doggy - but couldn't handle the hood. So - he wore some pjs that Jacob wore when he was 2 for Halloween. It worked out well.

Here is cousin Salma and Aunt Ofelia. Isn't Salma cute as a lil mouse!

We met at some friends of my brother's. Here is her daughter - she was 9 and the oldest child there.

Here is cousin Antonio. Doesn't he look great as Pirate Jack Sparrow.
Here is Jacob and Antonio. Jacob took off his mask for much of the trick-or-treating - since one lil girl (she was 3) we were walking with was a bit freaked out by his mask. So - without the mask on - they were good friends.

Here are all of the kids getting their bounty. See lil Levi in there - he was such a big boy - would walk right up there - pick one candy out or take it from the adult - and then put it in his bucket. He had a great time - wanted to be like the big kids. Wasn't too happy to be put in the stroller.

After about 45 minutes of fun - it started to sprinkle some - and then it would stop - and then it would start again. After a few more minutes - Levi had about enough - so we ended our night of fun. It was a great first Halloween in Sacramento. The boys had such a good time with their cousins!

John's Incredible Pizza - October 18th

As a reward for Jacob completing his task chart (chart with categories of no whining in morning, no whining in evening, eating by himself, no potty accidents, and doing something without being asked - he gets smiley faces for each day he does these well), we took him to John's Incredible Pizza in Roseville, CA (about 30 minutes from our house). It is a buffet pizza place - with a bunch of fun kid stuff similar to Chuck E. Cheese - you know - spend wads of cash - get paper tickets as rewards - trade the tickets in for some really cheap prizes......kids love it!!!! :)

Here is Jacob trying to hit the sharks.

He liked shooting the balls that knocked out the horse teeth - with Daddy's help.

Here is the bowling game - he did well at this - and it was good for his age because he couldn't get a gutterball or no points.

This was the first thing he did. It was a ride - that ended up being a bit scary for him. He looked pretty petrified by the end - with a death grip on the green bar. But - after he got off - we asked him if he liked it - he said "yeah!" But - he didn't want to ride it again.

It was a fun evening - but the place was a zoo. Saturday night - so many people - so many birthdays - so much fun!!!

Soccer Game - Cousin Antonio

We all went and watched Antonio play soccer on Saturday. It was supposed to rain all day - but it ended up clearing up and being a pretty day. Antonio is 5 and does well playing - runs constantly up and down the field and tries to get the ball.

Here he is in the middle of the action.

Salma loves "baby" Levi - she wants to be near him all the time. Levi was sitting in the big boy chair - thinking he was all that.
We warned Jacob that he wasn't going to be able to play soccer with Antonio. He was excited that cousin Salma was going to be there - and was looking forward to playing "tag your it" with her. Here he is chasing after her.
Cousin Antonio is a lil faster - he is trying to catch him to tag him - but he was much harder to catch. We look forward to getting to play "tag your it" again :)

Fairytale Town - September 27th, 2008

We went to Fairytale Town on Saturday, September 27th, 2008 - exactly 5 years since Mommy and Daddy were married.

When we first got there - I got to get my face painted - well - really my arm. I love Spiderman - so I got it on my arm - and I got a spider on my face too.

Here you can see both of my body paintings - it was pretty cool!
Levi hung out in the stroller - while I got to run around and play on stuff. I can't wait til he gets bigger and can run around with me too.

This was a cool tree house that had a slide. I love going on slides.

This one Daddy came on too - Mommy missed taking the picture when Daddy slid down the slide and landed on his bobo.

I got to ride on a horsey - that pulled the pumpkin carriage for Cinderella - they didn't move though.
This was another fun slide - like sliding down out of a long tunnel.
It was a fun time at Fairytale Town. Maybe next time we can play longer - and Levi will be able to slide with me too.

Power Washing the Van

Jim and Jacob decided to wash the van - with the power washer. What man/boy wouldn't want to use a "power tool" and water at the same time? Jacob enjoyed being able to spray the car - he was all geared up with his gardening gloves and bike helmet!
